Welcome Players, Coaches and Parents

On behalf of the tournament committee, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all participants and spectators at this year’s 28th edition of the Brandon Female Hockey Challenge sponsored by the SUBWAY restaurants of Brandon.

Each year Brandon is happy to be the host city to one of the largest female tournaments in our province. Once again, we are happy to host teams from Manitoba, Saskatchewan & Ontario, ranging from the U11 division to the U18 division. This year’s tournament will continue with the tradition of exceptional organization, great hockey and unforgettable memories for the players, coaches, and families.

We would like to send a huge thank you to the Brandon SUBWAY Restaurants for their generous support towards Female Hockey in Brandon and recognize them as our Major tournament sponsor.

Please join me in recognizing the countless hours of hard work that our tournament committee spends planning this tournament. The committee works tirelessly for months leading up to and during the event.

These members include:
Shannon Daciuk, Fiona Garrioch, Curtis Gouldie, Darcy Paton, Drayson Cowan, Ryan Schmidt, John Cockburn, and Al Sellars.

Best of luck to all teams participating in this year’s hockey challenge. We hope that your weekend will be a memorable one, filled with exciting female hockey and fair play. Enjoy your visit to Brandon, MB.

Thank-you to all Players, Coaches and Parents

Our tournament committee would like to extend our appreciation to you for including our Hockey Tournament in your 2024 schedule. Arrangements are well underway to host the annual Female Hockey Challenge and we would like to welcome each team to Brandon. This year we are hosting 32 teams from U11 to U18, accounting for approximately 600 female hockey players. Our team selection process attempts to include teams of similar calibre with emphasis on creating a balanced and competitive tournament.

Every year we are overwhelmed to witness the growth in Female Hockey. The support these young ladies get from their coaches and family is nothing short of incredible. Our focus is to continue to stimulate and foster that development in female hockey. We are also eager to get started and aim to establish a welcoming atmosphere for the players and families that will create lasting memories, bonded friendships and lively competition.

Our tournament has maintained success for 28 years while not requiring parents, family or spectators to pay an entrance fee. This is due to the generosity of SUBWAY restaurants and our other corporate sponsors, as well as our 50/50 draws and prize table. We encourage everyone’s continued participation in the purchase of our progressive 50/50 draw and the prize table raffle tickets as part of the event and we hope you visit some of our tournament sponsors while you are in town.

Best of Luck in the tournament and we will see you all on November 15, 2024.
